Budapest – Travelling by Flight
The Airport is located within the boundary of Budapest, 16 km from the City eastward, alongside Main Road 4. The Airport has two terminals: Terminal One is for low-cost airlines ; Terminal Two is divided into two, with Terminal 2A the departure and arrival point for flights of Malév Hungarian Airlines and Terminal 2B hosting all international carriers’ flights, including some of the budget airlines.
Transportation to/from the airport in Budapest
Passengers can easily reach Ferihegy Terminal 1 from the Western Railway Station in Budapest within less than half an hour for 300 HUF. There are 60 trains on weekdays and 45 at weekends from the airport to the city center.

A new taxi service (Zóna Taxi) started its operation on 15 August 2006 at Ferihegy. Taxies from Ferihegy Airport using fix fares according to 4 geographical zones in Budapest and prices are varying between 3,000 and 4,300 HUF. The journeys will also be metered, and if the meter shows a lower fare, then passengers will only pay the lower fare.
Metro and bus
Budapest Airport is relatively well accessible also by Public Transport. There are direct bus services (Bus 200, Bus 93) from Terminals 1 and 2 to Köbánya-Kispest metro terminal (M3). For more information about the public transport of Budapest: www.bkv.hu.
